据外媒报道，澳大利亚最大的家禽供应商之一百亚达公司（Baiada）被爆克扣华人员工（大量来自大陆和台湾）工资，已答应拿出50万澳元，补发所有少发的薪水。调查发现一些从中国大陆和台湾来的员工每日工作达19个小时，却只获得11.5澳元的廉价时薪。
据报道，百亚达公司是Woolworths和Coles两家大型超市的最大鸡肉供应商之一。在经调查发现该公司的承包商严重剥削员工，他们每日工作19个小时，但得到的工资仅是澳大利亚最低时薪的一半。目前百亚达公司已拿出50万澳元处理此问题。
